Subject:- Training programme for Managerial Category and Cook Category Canteen employees of Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens- Nominations from Ministries/Department’s – regarding.
The undersigned is directed to say that, with a view to impart professional skill to the employees working in Departmental Canteens functioning from Central Government Offices, it has been decided in consultation with the Ministry of Tourism to hold training programme for Managerial category and Cook category working in the Departmental Canteens. These training programme are mandatory and will be organized in the Institute of Hotel Management/FCIs located across the country.
2. The duration of the training programme would be 6 days. The scheduled dates of training programmes would be intimated in due course. TA/DA for trainees as admissible will be borne by the respective Ministry/Department.
3. The Ministries/Department’s are requested to forward nomination of one or two Canteen employees for each batch in the enclosed proforma (I &II) to the Department of personnel & Training by 14th August, 2015.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject : Introduction of mandatory Induction Training for Probation Clearance – regarding.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M of even number dated 21st July. 2014 wherein consolidated instructions on Probation/Confirmation in Central Services were issued for ready reference to all concerned. As per extant instructions during the period probation, or any extension thereof. candidates may be required by Government to undergo such courses of training and instructions to pass examinations and tests as Government may deem fit as a condition to satisfactory completion of the probation.


2. It has been decided that in all cases of direct recruitment there should be a mandatory induction training of atleast two weeks duration. Successful completion of the training may be made a pre-requisite for completion of probation. The syllabus for the training may be prescribed by the Cadre authorities and the Training Division of DOPT can be consulted. if required.
3. The recruitment rules for all posts, wherever such a provision does not already exist, may be amended to provide for such mandatory training. Till such time as the Recruitment Rules are amended. a clause on the above lines may be included in the offer of appointment.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Implementation of Government’s decision on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission-Revision of rate of Training Allowance and Sumptuary Allowance- Clarification regarding

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. No.13024/1/2008- Trg.I dated 5.9.2008 on the subject mentioned above and to furnish the following clarifications:

(i) 30% training allowance of the basic pay is admissible to trainers/faculty on deputation only in those National/Central Training Academies and Institutes which impart induction training to directly recruited Group ‘A’ officers.

(ii) In line 3 of the Sub-para (i) under the heading ‘Sumptuary Allowance’ of the aforesaid O.M, the words "and other training institutes/establishments as well" may be added after the words ‘Group ‘A’ Officers.

2. This would come into effect from the date of issue of this O.M.

3. Hindi version of O.M. will follow.
