President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today expressed deep concern over the continued delay over non issuance of notification regarding the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendation till date.

President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today expressed deep concern over the continued delay over non issuance of notification regarding the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendation till date.

In a memorandum sent to Prime Minister, Shastri has appealed him to immediately issue the said notification after review by empowered committee under expenditure secretary.

Shastri stressed upon removal of ambiguity as the issue is causing lot of hardships for salaried class and pensioners also.

“It is a cause of concern that delays in submitting its report by the committee is creating doubt in the minds of crores of employees both Centre/State Governments as the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission were to be implemented with effect from January 1, 2016, he added.

Shastri urged Modi to liberally finance the States Governments as well so that the 7th Pay Commission recommendations are implemented simultaneously by the Centre as well as States.

He urged PM to personally intervene and secure the interests of the salaried class. Shastri also appealed to raise Income Tax sealing to Rs 5 lac as the salaried class is finding it difficult to cope with increased inflation and rising costs.

Shastri reminded that NDA Government at Centre was voted to power by the urban voters of which the salaried class of Government sector formed the bulk force.

He stressed upon the need to issue notification regarding the amount of wages of daily rated workers at National level to be raised to Rs 10,000 per month as has already been principally agreed to by the Centre Government.

NMC urges PM to immediately issue 7th Pay Commission notification

Jammu: The National Mazdoor conference (NMC) today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately issue notification regarding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission report.

“We urge the Prime Minister to immediately issue notification regarding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission report respect of central government employees and pensioners,” NMC president Subash Shastri said.

“We are hopeful that the Prime Minister will remove any confusion and ambiguity regarding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission report,” he added.

Shastri expressed hope that the PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir will also take steps to implement the recommendations made in the 7th Pay Commission for state employees and pensioners.

“We also hope that the state government will regularise the service of 61,000 daily rated workers who have been working in various departments for several years,” Shastri said.

Government Employees union asks Seventh Pay Commission to expedite completion of its report

Jammu: A government employees’ union today asked the Chairman of Seventh Central Pay Commission to expedite completion of its report on salaries, allowances and pensions of about 80 lakh of central government employees and pensioners.

“We urge upon the Chairman of Seventh Central Pay Commission to expedite completion of recommendations and get it finalised by the stipulated time so that there is no delay in its implementation in favour of both Centre and state government employees and pensioners,” National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri said.

In a memorandum sent to Justice Ashok Kumar Mathur (retd.), Chairman of the Seventh Central Pay Commission, Shastri appealed to recommend its report to state government as well, “So that the gap arising out of implementation of the Seventh Central Pay Commission recommendations does not mainly go against the interest of state government employees and pensioners.”

He also said that keeping in view the rising cost of living, the Pay Commission should effectively formulate strategies to deal with inflation.

Shastri earlier said that the pay commission should submit their report to the Central Government at appropriate time, so that it will enable to implement its report from 1st January, 2016.

The National Mazdoor Conference today asked Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to raise the income tax exemption limit to Rs 5 lakh.

“We urged Union Finance Minister to raise the Income Tax exemption limit to Rs five lakh,” National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri said while addressing a series of rallies at Kanjali and Bomyal in Nagrota Block here today.

Shastri also appealed he Finance Minister to announce non inclusion of amount of DA to calculating income tax as the DA instalments are released by the government from time to time to utilise the impact of price rise and inflation.

Shastri emphasised the need for immediate merger of 50 per cent DA into basic pay and pension as per the recommendations of the Fourth Pay Commission.

He added that all these burning issues impacting both the Central and State Governments Employees and pensioners should be addressed by the Union Finance Minister while presenting the budget for 2015-16 in the coming Budget Session of Parliament beginning on 23rd of this month.

He also demanded immediate release two DA instalment of 17 per cent in favour of State Government Employees and pensioners, pointing out that while Central Government is about to release another instalment 6 per cent DA in favour of its employees and pensioners from Jammu 2015 but it is unfortunate that the salaried class in the state has not got the benefit previous two DA instalments.

He also demanded early regularisation of the 62,000 daily rated workers beside release of their wages without any further delay.

Jammu, November 17 (Scoop News) –National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President, Subash Shastri has appealed to the Prime Minister to immediately constitute Seventh Pay Commission headed by C. Rangarajan, former Governor of RBl along with five others noted economists of the country as its members and the announcement to this regard be made in the ensuing winter session of parliament beginning from Nov 22.
Emphasizing on formulation of a National Pay Policy throughout the country, Shastri demanded setting up of a new Pay Commission which would cover both Central and State government employees be declaring it as National Pay Panel.
Addressing a largely attended NMC workers rally at Vijaypur today, Shastri further pleaded that till new Pay Commission is constituted and its recommendations implemented, 50% DA be merged with the basic pay/ pension and interim relief of 20% of the basic pay/pension be provided to the Central and State Government employees and pensioners in view of increasing burden due to massive inflation in the country. 
Enhancement in the wages of daily wagers from Rs. 125 to Rs. 300 per day, beside their regularization, issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily wagers working in the Rural Development Department, release of pending salary of motivators working in IWDP project Akhnoor, increase the medical allowance from 300 to 1000 per month and removal of all pay anomalies of clerical staff were other demands highlighted in the rally.
Among those who also addressed the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sham Lal Sharma, Rakesh Padha, Ashok Khajuria, Anil Singh Slathia, Sunil Kochhar, Surinder Kumar, Ram Lal, Ram Pal Sharma, Barkat Ram, Girdhari Lai Bhagat, Vijay Kumar Bhagat, Jograj, Sukhdev Singh, Kamal, Subash Sharma , Mohd Shafi, Gopal Dass and others.
