Subject: – Filling up the post of Canteen Attendant in the Departmental Canteen of Department of Personnel & Training. – Reg.

Sir/ Madam,
I am directed to say that this Department proposes to fill up Seven (7) (number of vacancies are tentative and may vary) vacant posts of Canteen Attendant in the Pay Band-I (Rs. 5,200/- Rs.20,200/ -) with Grade Pay of 1800/- in the Departmental Canteen of this Department purely on temporary basis. The post of ‘Canteen Attendant’ is a direct recruitment post to be filled up through Employment Exchange by candidates having educational qualification of Matriculation or equivalent. The age limit of the said post is 18-25 years as on the last date for submission of application form.

2. . Applications of willing and eligible candidates may be sent along with; i) Bio-data (as in proforma at Annexure-I); ii) Attested copies of certificates (matriculation (mandatory) and certificate/ diploma in hospitality management/ cooking/ catering (optional) only); iii) A valid Employment Exchange Registration ID number (mandatory);  to the Under Secretary (Coordination-II), Department of Personnel & Training, Room No. 3, North Block, New Delhi, within 60 days from the date of publication of this vacancy circular in the Employment News.

3. It is therefore, requested to advertise the same in the Employment News.

A copy of the relevant Employment news may also kindly be sent to this Department.

Subject: Swachh Bharat Mission-Departmental Canteen

Reference is invited to this Department’s O.M. of even No. dated 26.09.2014 and 09.10.2014 wherein all Ministries/Departments were requested to carry out periodical cleanliness campaign in respect of Departmental Canteens under their administrative control through respective Management Committees. Detailed guidelines with reference to observation and maintenance of cleanliness in Departmental Canteens were also circulated. All Ministries/Departments were requested to carry out periodical cleanliness campaign at least once in a month in respect of Departmental Canteens under their administrative control and furnish report thereon in the prescribed Proforma. So far only few Departments have furnished this report. All Ministries/Departments are requested to furnish report on cleanliness campaign carried out by them in respect of Departmental Canteen by 15th of every month.

Subject : Amendment of Model Recruitment Rules for various posts in Non Statutory Departmental Canteen/ Tiffin Rooms Located in Central Government Offices.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s 0M of even number dated 4/6/2014 and 22/5/2013 wherein Model Recruitment Rules (RRs) for various Group ‘B’ & Group ‘C’ posts in Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens/Tiffin Rooms located in Central Government Offices were circulated.

2. It has been decided to amend the Model RRs for Canteen employees. The matter regarding amendment to Model RRs for Canteen employees has been examined in consultation with Estt.(RR), DOPT and it has been decided to amend the provision of Model RR as under:
