HRD Ministry may relax norms for opening new KVs
New Delhi: With land scarcity becoming an issue, the Union HRD ministry
is considering relaxing the norms for opening new Kendriya Vidyalaya
schools.
According to sources, as per the present norms for starting a new
Kendriya Vidyalaya school, 10 acres of land is needed in rural areas
while 8 acre land is required if the school is to come up in an urban
area.
For Metros, 4 acres of land is required.

New Delhi: In a first, the Centre has decided to rope in pensioners to
supervise government jobs recruitment exams conducted by Staff Selection
Commission(SSC)
The SSC, which conducts examinations to select hundreds of candidates
for various mid-level central government jobs, has written to Personnel
